We are an independent studio, label and production house, dedicated to the development of musicians and the distribution of their music worldwide. We have publishing and licensing arrangements in place overseas for a number of our artists, with a particular focus on Japan and the US.

In addition to the studio itself, which houses the best in audio equipment (see our equipment list) and acoustic design, we work with some of the best producers and engineers in Australia to ensure world class results. Our regular engineers include Michael Stangel (whose credits include the Veronicas and Shannon Noll), David Nicholas (who has produced/engineered names of the calibre of Elton John, Sting, Bryan Adams, INXS and Midnight Oil), Christian Scallan (whose film projects include Shine, Elizabeth, Sliding Doors and Australia) and Robin Mai (credits include John Butler Trio and Joe Camilleri).

In addition to our commercial activities, we promote the development of young bands and musicians by providing an amount of studio and production services each year at no charge. This is funded by the owners of Medici. Spaces for this are very limited and we operate mainly on a referral basis.

Medici Studios is not a studio for hire - it is used exclusively for Medici productions. Current artists signed with Medici Studios include Borne, Justin Carter, Nick Lovell, Ella Thompson, Jocie and Stella Browne. We welcome any enquiries from artists but we are focused quite heavily currently on the development of our existing artists.
